Remondis Medison LLC uses autoclave and steam sterilization technology – a standard and environmentally accepted method used throughout Europe. In Slovenia, treatment is carried out using identical facilities, while in Germany, 60% of hazardous medical waste is processed in the same way.
This technology does not involve incineration or the use of chemicals, which means: no harmful emissions, no toxic waste – just responsible treatment with zero environmental impact.
Medical waste is first mechanically processed and then sterilized under strictly controlled conditions. After treatment, it is classified as non-hazardous and safe for disposal.
The treatment is carried out immediately upon receipt in order to maintain the highest level of biological safety.
Collected medical waste is transported using specialized vans and trucks equipped with built-in cooling chambers, fully certified according to ADR standards for the transport of hazardous materials.
The waste remains under constant temperature control from the point of origin to the treatment facility.
All employees handling medical waste are equipped with appropriate protective clothing, in full compliance with legal standards. Health and safety are the foundation of every process we carry out.
Our commitment to quality, safety, and responsibility has resulted in long-term cooperation with the majority of our clients. Interest in our services – and the number of new clients – continues to grow steadily.
Remondis Medison LLC operates strictly in accordance with the Law on Waste Management (Official Gazette No. 68/04 and 71/04) and the Waste Classification List (Official Gazette No. 100/05).
To date, the company has collected, transported, and treated medical waste from over 1,500 private and 60 public healthcare institutions across North Macedonia.
